بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Good morning world!

Stop looking for someone to complete you. Everyone is one, whole person. You’re only going to get disappointed if you keep searching for someone, another mortal, to fill that gap you have. People are companions of another: to help, to advise, to provide comfort & company, but never to complete us. Maybe its just me, but I think its just a ‘romantic’, Hollywood (?) concept that has been swallowed whole-heartedly.

Then again, maybe I’m just a party-pooper like that. :P

Ya Allah, wherever we are lacking, complete us! Don’t let us look for alternatives other than You!

Oh I agree with this! What good is a spouse if he doesn’t help and advise me to the right path?

    Amin to your doa.

maybe its because all of us have this need to feel loved..we are all created that way…and everyone was happy when rasulullah pbuh was on the same dimension..alive in body with them…because he pbuh was and is the embodiment of true and sincere love..

    which is tougher?
having no money but having someone who truely loves you to struggle with you… or having a heart and life void of love.
having no home/shelter but having someone who truely loves you to walk with you..or having a heart and life void of love.
having had both parents passed away but having someone to shower you with so much love..or having parents who are barely around to love you and having a heart and life void of love.
having no husband but having a best friend whom you see everyday who you feel so much true love coming from her heart for you…or having a husband who does not truely love you…but imprisoned at home with no one else to love you.

    think about it…
love is what makes the world go round.

mazda113:Then maybe YOU’RE supposed to help him get to the right path. ;)

abdullah:*curtseys* Thank you, thank you. :P

fakhrunnisa: I agree. I guess its just that we fill up that gap thats supposed to be love for God with other ‘lowly’ forms of love, hence we are always searching and never truly content.

Somehow, it reminds me of 2 stories.

    1) Nabi Adam a.s. and Hawa a.s. – the need and desire to have a companion (Nabi Adam was in Paradise!) and how Nabi Adam a.s. went to look for Hawa a.s. when they were separated.

    2) Rabiah Adawiyah – Love for Allah

ahhh, Insha’Allah! I think marriage is a two way road, both of us pulling each other along to be better and reminding each other to always remember Allah swt…
