What lesson?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Good morning all!

I was just reading this this morning. Thought it was really meaningful and concise.

“Abu Said ibn Abi l-Khayr teaches, “The Sufi is pleased with everything that Allah does, so that Allah will be pleased with all that he does.”

Experiment with accepting whatever is happening in your life as the will of Allah and surrendering to your fate instead of fighting it. This doesn’t mean passive resignation or abdicating responsibility for what you do. It means accepting that you are exactly where Allah wants you to be. The challenges and opportunities you are facing are precisely the challenges and opportunities you are ready to face. Give up complaining about your predicament, as if it were a chance event in a random universe, and embrace all that occurs as a gift from God meant personally for you. What lesson is your present situation designed to teach you?
