Assalammualaikum one & all!

I hope by now the tears have dried from hearing the takbeer & you have overcome the grief that Ramadhan has truly left us. May we meet the next Ramadhan insyaAllah! Amin!

I would just like to take this opportunity to seek forgiveness from each and everyone of you if I have ever said anything or did anything to offend anyone. Countless apologies from the deepest depths of my heart. I am a struggler on this path. Do point out to me if I’m doing anything wrong. Forgive me, zahir wa batin.

Minal aidin wal faidzin (May you be among those who return to purity and among those granted glory) . Kullum am wa antum bikhair (May you be well throughout the year). Taqaballahu minna wa minkum (May Allah accept it from you and us) Ameen Ya Rabbal ‘Alamin.

    Dear Mr. Redwan Ahmed,

your persistence of asking our dear friend Ameera Aslam to write in your blog has come to my attention.

Perhaps you do not realise this, but most of us are not full time bloggers. I believe Ameera is still studying and hence has to juggle her responsibilities in addition to keeping up with her blog.

I feel you do mean well in asking her to contribute to your blog. Although i believe her posts are beautiful, i feel “thousands of people” commenting on it seems to be an exaggeration. So far, i see only 2 comments on your blog, one of which belongs to her.

Perhaps that is the way you are used to communicating, but it isn’t the same way we all function here. We are not used to commands and insistence. We would like graciousness; words with “please”, or “would you be kind enough” are appreciated.

You seem to be engaged in wanting to do Islah and Da’wah on your blog, but seem to have neglected the finer niceties of being gracious, which i believe is one of the important aspects of Islam. The social dimension of Islam is equally as important.

In any case, you can achieve the same goals, by leaving a link to Ameera Aslam’s blog. I’m sure she will not mind the traffic that comes from your site. Unless, you of course do.. Do you?
