Which fool would not plan her time well? Which fool would not grab the countless opportunities given during Ramadhan to get ever closer to her Rabb? Which fool would miss the prayer rug and prefer the bed instead? Which fool would allow her fast to be tainted by listening to heedless music, her eyes to feast on other than the Qur’an, her heart & mind to be filled with thoughts and feelings for other than her Lord? Which fool thinks of how Hari Raya might be this year when there’s still some remnants of Ramadhan that should be her concern!

I’ll tell you; the fool is me!

Oh deprived soul! Fa aina tazhabun? Where are you going? What are you doing with your time? What words are you saying, what useless words are you uttering when you know they would not help you to increase your deeds in this blessed month? Did you say you were waiting impatiently for Ramadhan to arrive? What have you done to prove that you badly wanted it? And now Ramadhan is leaving you slowly, second by second. And still you are not making use of your time to the best of your abilities!

Fool is the nicest word I could find.

Ya Rabb… Ya Arhama Rahimeen.. Irhamna..

Subhan: ABUUUUUU!! :) I hope you’re doing good. May we treasure whatever that is remaining of Ramadhan before it leaves us. Who knows if we’ll meet it again next year. InsyaAllah..
