Love for Allah

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
My lovely Mizah posted this on her Facebook. I’m just copying everything. Its so beautiful & simple masyaAllah. :)

There was a young girl;
Who loved Allah.
She didn’t know why;
But she knew how much.

She talked to Him when she was lonely;
Knowing He was the one and only.

Why, she wondered, do people fight?
When everyone know what’s wrong and right?
Why do those who should love each other;
Lie and manipulate their sister and brother?

She thought of Allah as her best friend;
And knew He’d listen right till the end.
She wanted to please Him and do what’s right;
and be surrounded by His light.

But as this bud grew into a flower;
She realized people too have power.
Power to cloud your way of thinking;
And soon she felt her faith (iman) sinking!

Although on the outside she went along;
Inside of her was still so strong.
She knew Allah was just waiting;
For the right time for her awakening.

Alhamdulillah, the love for Him was always there;
Although it was in need of some repair.
She thanked Allah from the bottom of her heart;
Who is the Teacher who gave her a new start.

Ya Rabb, keep us on the straight path;
And not the way that earns Your wrath!

Ya Rabb, forgive us for the mistakes we’ve made;
And let us walk with patience, on the path You’ve laid!

Ya Rabb, help keep our intentions to please no one, but You;
And keep our faith as it was, when we were new!

وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لِذَنۢبِكَ وَلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَـٰتِۗ

“…and ask forgiveness for your sin and for the believing men and believing women…” (47:19)

“Supplication is a weapon of a believer, a pillar of religion, and a light of the heavens and the earth.” (al-Hakim)
